DAY 19 (Thursday August, 24th 2017)

Visiting Muslim Village in Ayutthaya This morning I went to school as usual. Today my mentor did not has a teaching schedule therefore I just stayed at the office and completed my daily journal and self-report. Today is also a special day for me because I was invited by a Muslim teachers at Wat Khian school to go to Muslim village and also some mosques there. I was very happy and lucky to meet many Muslim here. After school we traveled around that place. Generally, Muslims in Ayutthaya lived on the riverbank. Therefore, their house has a beautiful view.  The first mosque we visited was Aliyddaroy Mosque. The mosque was founded by Syeikh Ali who has now died. His grave is next to the mosque with his wife's grave. This mosque looks like a small palace if we see from the front. DAY 18 (Wednesday August, 23th 2017)

My Third and Fourth Teaching Practices Today I went to school with Asya and Ping. In the morning I prepared everything for my teaching practice in the afternoon. At lunch time I was invited by Ms. Faa, Ms. Neem, Ms, Ging and Mr. Nick to have our lunch at a food court near Wat Phra Mongkhon Bophit. There are some restaurants which sell the halal food. This place is famous for Som Tam or Thai Papaya Salad.  I really enjoyed my time with them because they were very nice and friendly.  We went back to school before 12.30. At 12.30 pm I went to library because class M.2/1 would take place there. We learnt about how chocolate is produced? first, I provided them the video on how the chocolate is produced. Second, in the activity I divided them into groups and asked them to math the pictures and the phrases (steps). Another Day at Wat Khian School Today was the first time I went to school alone. Maybe for some people it might not be the problem but not for me (because it quite challenging  hehe) because I could not communicate with Thai people including tuk-tuk driver. At 7.15 am I went to school by tuk-tuk which passed behind the dorm. I was dropped off in the market because this tuk-tuk could not pass to Wat Khian school. So I have to look another tuk-tuk. I waited for a long time on the side of the road and there was not a single tuk-tuk passing in front of me. After 15 minutes a tuk-tuk passed in front of me then I immediately told the driver "Wat Khian School?" And the driver just nodded. Alhamdulillah hhe ... My First Teaching Practice Today is the day when I have to practice in two classes, 8/1 and 8/2. The first teaching at 12.30-13.30 pm and  the second  teaching  at 13.30-14.30 pm. In the second teaching Ms. Sherina as my university mentor came to school to observe my teaching performance. In the 8/1 class I taught about discovering food or vocabularies related to fruits and vegetables. The students were  very enthusiastic in learning moreover when they have to do the task in the group or collaborative learning. They were competing to finish it as soon as possible. Hello Bangkok! Today we went to Chatuchak Weekend Market which located in Bangkok, Thailand. At 08.00 am. Ray one of our Thai friend picked us up at dormitory and we went to Ayutthaya station.  Morning Wefie hehe Ayutthaya Station We leaved for Chatuchak weekend market at 09.00 am and arrived around 10.15 pm at Bang Sue station. We chose to go by train because we did not have to pay or free .  For Thai people they did not pay anything when using this transportation, while the foreigner have to pay about 20 bhat. We were lucky to go with our Thai friends so they booked the train tickets and we got free.  The Ticket After arriving at Bang Sue station we had to use the MRT by paying 16 bhat for each person to get to the station adjacent to Chatuchak Weekend Market. DAY 14 (Saturday August, 19th 2017)

Visiting University Market (again) In the morning I and Rinan my roommate in dorm went to the university market at ARU. In fact, the previous Saturday we went there since on this Saturday the host university did not have a plan for us then I and Rinan decided to go to this market for the second time. When arriving at the market we looked for food for breakfast. The only place that sells halal food in that place is in the campus canteen. And fortunately there is one halal food store that was open in the canteen. We eat yellow rice with other side dishes.  The brunch menu After that we walked around the market. The market is crowded in every weekend. Not only filled by students but also housewives and other community members. The price of the goods offered in this market were varied from cheap to expensive. DAY 13 (Friday August, 18th 2017)

Carnival at Wat Khian School I went to school at 7.15 am. After arriving at the school I was told to go to the palace because the carnival will start from the palace to the school. All students and teachers  have lined up based on the color of their groups. I joined the blue group with Ms. Napa.   The Blue team In the blue group they shown 3 themes in the carnival. The first theme is about Thai language, second is Thai food, and third is about family sufficiency. The three themes After the carnival there were some competitions such as running and cheer leaders. DAY 12 (Thursday August, 17th 2017)

Day 12 Today is a special day because today is the independence day of republic of Indonesia. I could not attend the ceremony at the embassy of Indonesia in Bangkok because of some reasons, then I went to school as usual. I went there by Tuk-tuk with Asya and Ping. Today's activity at Wat Khian school is still sport competition.  Competitions In the afternoon, I have my lunch at Muslim shop near the school. Ms.Napa bought the food for me. She bought a chicken fried rice and Pad Thai one of the typical food from Thailand. Pad Thai consists of noodles and vegetables mixed with Thailand typical spices that taste sour and spicy. DAY 11 (Wednesday August, 16th 2017)

Nice to meet you! As usual this morning I went to school with Ping and Asya by Tuk-tuk. But the difference is we had to board the tuk-tuk twice because the first tuk-tuk did not pass our destination so the transportation cost went away this morning was 10 bhat. When I attended the morning ceremony I suddenly felt weak and fainted, then before all that happened and made everyone bother me I went to the office and leave the ceremony. When I got to my office I sat down. Somehow I had breakfast before going to school. I tried to take a rest for a while. After the ceremony Ms. Faa came up to me and I immediately asked her for some herbal oil or anything. And luckily she has it. My body feels better in the afternoon. Me, Ms. Faa and her two friends have lunch at the market at the usual restaurant. After arriving at school I helped Ms. Napa to make a poster for a sport day. DAY 10 (Tuesday August, 15th 2017)

Sport Day This morning I went to school as usual by Tuk-tuk. Today at my school at Watkhian School is a Sport Day. In the morning the teaching and learning process will run as usual the while in the afternoon will be held competitions as a series of Sport Day events. Teachers and students are divided into groups. There are groups of blue, red, yellow, orange, and green. As for the competitions are race run, table tennis, voly ball, and takraw. Sport competitions In the morning I continued my lesson plan and in the afternoon watched the competition in the field. At 15.45 I went back to the dormitory with Ms. Napa. After arriving at dorm I took a rest and then continue my tasks that have not been finished. 

Day 9 (Monday August, 14th 2017)

Cycling around Ayutthaya Today we have been planning to ride a bicycle around Ayutthaya. At 10.00 am First and her friends invited us to immediately go to the bike rental. We pay 50 B or equivalent to Rp. 20,000 for one bicycle. After that First and friends taught us the way to our schools. The weather was very hot. But we enjoyed it because where there is togetherness there is happiness. Cycling around Ayutthaya We took a break for a drink and lunch. We stop at a cafe which has an expensive prices for its food. We finally decided to buy a drink there. We have our lunch at Maya cafe which is quite affordable price for us. When zhuhur time, we done it at ARU. Since mushollah is closed on that day then our Thai friends looking for a place that we can use for praying. They are very tolerant of other religions and they try to give the best for us. In the afternoon we visited Ayutthaya Historical Park. There was an elephant festival but we decided not to watch it eve
