DAY 27 (Friday September, 1st 2017)

Eid Adha Mubarok


اَللهُ اَكْبَرُ، اَللهُ اَكْبَرُ، اَللهُ اَكْبَرُ، لآَاِلهَ اِلاَّاللهُ وَاللهُ اَكْبَرُ
اَللهُ اَكْبَرُ وَ ِللهِ الْحَمْدُ

ALLAAHU AKBAR, ALLAAHU AKBAR, ALLAAHU AKBAR, LAA ILAAHA ILLAALLAAHU WALLAAHU AKBAR, ALLAAHU AKBAR WALILLAAHIL HAMD.

This morning I was with four of my Muslim friends went to Thai-Pakistan mosque to pray Eid al-Adha. We went there at 07.30 am because the prayer will start at 08.00 am.  As the name of the mosque is the Thai-Pakistan mosque then the majority of jama'ah who attend this mosque are thai-pakistan people who live there. This is my first experience to pray Eid al-adha in abroad.

After the prayer we shake hands with other jama'ah (Muslimah). In addition, we met a family. Mr.Rodi's family. Coincidentally he can speak Malay language so he asked some questions related to our arrival in Ayutthaya. A few moments later they invited us to visit their house that morning. They also invited us to have breakfast in their house. Of course we could not refuse and accepted the invitation hehe.

Mr.Rodi's house is quite far from Thai-Pakistan mosque. After arriving at their house we just found out that Mr.Rodi's family is a rich family. They have lots of horses and cows. Their horses and cows are scattered in several places in Ayutthaya.

When we get home, Mr. Rodi immediately invited us to eat. We continue to be served with a variety of Thai specialties until we full.

We talked a lot with Mr.Rodi. He told us that he was an athlete of martial arts whose talents were also revealed to his daughter Macha. Mr.Rodi has two children. Macha 18-year-old and her 12-year-old brother. Mr.Rodi came from the southern part of Thailand, Patthani. Mr.Rodi also told a lot about the history of Ayutthaya Thailand to us. Therefore, we learn a lot of information from him. At 11:00 pm we were taken by Mr.Rodi to Amporn because my friend has a need to buy there. Mr. Rodi also wanted to take us around Ayutthaya that afternoon.

At 15:00 pm Mr.Rodi and his wife picked me up, Rinan, Asya and Ella to get around Ayutthaya. We were invited to visit some tourist attractions there. We also stopped by at Wat Phra Mongkhon Bophit market. The goods are sold much cheaper than Chatuchak. We felt regret about knowing the market just now.

At 17.00 pm we were invited to eat at food court. We ate Tom Yam, and some other typical of thailand food.

After that we were invited to visit Fatima's house one of our friends in ARU and also Mrs.Rodi's niece. Fatima's house is quite far from ARU. One more thing that surprised me today is Fatimah's house is close to Ms. Faa's house. Therefore, Ms. Faa invited us to visit her house as well.

At 20:00 pm we returned escorted by Mr.Rodi to dorm.

I am very grateful to God who has brought me together with a good-hearted Muslim brothers today. Thank you Mr.Rodi and family may Allah always protect you and your family. Hopefully we can meet on another time. Amin..
 
Tonight is also my last night in Ayutthaya before returning to Indonesia. Tonight I packed all my stuffs. After the goods are wrapped neatly then I went to bed and took a rest.

See You Again ! This morning I woke up in early morning. I immediately packed and cleared things before leaving the room. Ms. Sherina picked us up at dorm at 07.15 am and we left for Don Mueang by using the university Van. We arrived at Don Mueang airport around 08.00 am. We said goodbye to Ms. Sherina and thank her for all her kindness and hospitality to us. after that I also excused myself to other U-Thog squad friends because we were going to separate up at Don Mueang airport. A few minutes later I met Niha. We waited for Iana and Adi from Chiang Rai and Suratthani. At 10:00 am we gathered at Don Mueang. After that we went to Chatuchak Weekend Market according to the plan that we have compiled from few days ago. We booked Grab from Don Mueang airport to Chatuckak weekend market. DAY 26 (Thursday August, 31st 2017)

Farewell Dinner :( Today's' morning activity is cleaning and tidying up the room. In the afternoon I and Rinan went to Amporn. We bought some food and some stuffs we needed. Furthermore, we went to Woro market. The Woro market is located not far from Wat Khian school. After finishing shopping. We decided to return to the dorm.  We found it difficult to return to the dorm because the tuk-tuk driver did not know the area we were referring to. We told every tuk-tuk driver who passed by our dorm address with  "U-Thong" but the driver who heard it was amazed by the address we meant. As it turns out, we said "U-Thong" with an imprecise pronunciation. Therefore, we understood when we said a wrong to the rhythm of the word then it will mean another word.  We finally found a tuk-tuk who understood our address. When we get to the dorm we immediately get ready to go to "farewell dinner" with our coordinators at ARU. We had dinner in Shabuya
