DAY 3 (Tuesday August, 8 2017)

Welcome to Watkhian School

I woke up early in the morning and prepared everything for today. We went to ARU at 8.00 am and ate a breakfast in the canteen. Around 8.30 ms. Sherina brought us to meet the president of ARU at his office. The president was very friendly. He gave us some advices and motivation. He said “We are family…let’s say we are your parents and you are our children so, we have to take of you because you are our daughter and son”. It was really sweet for me hehe. After speech, he gave us some merchandise and put his signature on it.

Grade 8 is divided into two classes, grade 8/1 and grade 8/2.  Teacher Napa asked me to introduce myself to the students. Thai students were very excited to meet foreigner teacher like me. They asked many questions about my personal information although they did not good in English. They read their English notebook and asked the questions to me.

The school is ended at 15.30. pm. I went home with teacher Faa and teacher Napa by teacher Napa’s car. She brought me to the dormitory. She suggested me to go to school and return home by mini bus or Ron Mueang tomorrow. After arriving dormitory, I took a rest because it was such a tiring day for me.

After a while I felt hungry then I called my friends to look for some halal food near the dormitory. We walked around the dormitory and look for the halal food but we could not find it. The street was really quite in fact it still in 8.00 pm. My coordinator said that if we want something to eat we have to buy it before night because we could not find a halal food near the dormitory and there are no tuk-tuk in the night. If we find it, it will be expensive. Finally, my friend bought rice and we cook it at the dormitory together. We have our dinner in the room with all Indonesian and Philippine students.
